The 2024 Imperial Federation general election was held on 20 January 2024 to elect members of the House of Delegates and House of Representatives. It was called after the withdrawal of the International Worker's Alliance from the left-wing coalition of Peter Obi leading to the coalition no longer having a majority.

Imperial Tradition (Right-Wing to Far-Right) - Ran on a platform of exiting the FTA and implement their Imperial Education Program. The opposed the restricting of free movement and trade within the federation and proposed defunding climate policies. Under leader Jacob Rees-Mogg, from the British Imperialist Association, they elected 42 Representatives and 5 Delegates.

Imperial Democratic Party (Centre-Right) - Ran on a platform of renegotiating membership in the FTA and implement their concept of Fundamental Imperial Values in federation-wide education policy. They supported the restricting of free movement within the federation but opposed the restricting of internal trade. Under leader Sajid Javid, from the British Conservative and Unionist Party, they elected 710 Representatives and 18 Delegates.

Liberals and Democrats Party (Centre) - Ran on a platform of continuing membership in the FTA but did not rule out having a vote on the issue. They also supported redemocratisation efforts to encourage more participation in federation politics in members such as Rhodesia & Nyasaland and South Africa. Additionaly, they supported increasing devolved powers, climate funding and supported the continuation of free movement. Under Rahul Gandhi, from the Indian National Congress, they elected 782 Representatives and 15 Delegates.

New Labour and Democracy Party (Centre-Left to Left) - Ran on a platform of a Universal Worker's Rights Bill that would standardise worker's rights across the federation in line with those in more developed member. They also supported increasing climate programs and regulating internal trade. Under Peter Obi, from the West African Labour Party, they elected 443 Representatives and 14 Delegates.

Green Alliance (Left) - Ran on a platform of their Green Federation proposal that would phase out fossil fuels by 2050. They also continued to advocate for the abolition of the monarchy and the increasing of devolved powers. Under Carla Denyer, from the Green Party of Britain and Northern Ireland, they elected 13 Representatives and 0 Delegates.

International Worker's Alliance (Left to Far-left) - Ran on a platform of a more radical Universal Worker's Rights Bill and the exiting of the FTA. They also supported the regulating of internal trade and the abolition of the monarchy. Under Doraisamy Raja, from the Communist Party of India, they elected 90 Representatives and 0 Delegates.

International Muslim League (Centre to Far-Right) - Ran on a platform of state funding for more Islamic schools, redistricting for Muslims, especially in Nigeria and India, and increased devolved powers. Under Shehbaz Sharif, from the All-India Muslim League, they elected 137 Representatives and 2 Delegates.

Anti-Imperialist Nationalist Alliance (Big Tent) - Ran on a platform of increasing devolved powers and regulating internal trade. They continued to support the abolition of the monarchy and the dissolution of the Federation. Under Tariq Anwar, from the Indian Nationalist Congress, they elected 186 Representatives and 5 Delegates.

Pan African Congress (Big Tent) - Ran on a platform of redistricting in Africa to break up the West Africa, East Africa and Rhodesia & Nyasasland federations. They also backed the Universal Worker's Rights Bill. They continued to support for increase African representation, increasing of devolved powers and the dissolution of the Federation in Africa. Under Jakaya Kikwete, from the West African branch of the PAC, they elected 109 Representatives and 8 Delegates.

African Freedom Fighters (Left to Far-Left) - Ran on a platform of dissolving the federation in Africa. They also backed the Universal Worker's Rights Bill. Under Julius Malema, from the West African branch of the PAC, they elected 109 Representatives and 8 Delegates.

The election saw a resurgence of support for the Liberals and Democrats Party and displaced Peter Obi as Prime Minister. There was additionally a jump in support for the relatively new African Freedom Front under Julius Malema, taking support away from the International Worker's Alliance and Pan African Congress. After the election, the Liberals and Democrats Party formed a coalition with the Imperial Democratic Party and Imperial Tradition. Rahul Gandhi became Prime Minister, Sajid Javid became Deputy Prime Minister and Jacob Rees-Mogg became Foreign Secretary. A vote in the House of Representatives on membership in the FTA was scheduled .

The federation was formalised in the 1930 Imperial Conference. While Ireland did attend the conference, they refused to join the federation and took a similar course as to what they did in real life. To the leaders of the federation, it was seen as more hassle to force Ireland into the federation then to just leave then as a peripheral state.
