화성 이주민들이 거주하는 알파 기지에서 1600m 떨어진 곳에 LZ(Landing Zone)들을 건설함으로써 ITS 스타십 6개가 동시에 착륙할 수 있게 되었으며 이/착륙할때 생기는 모래바람으로 주민의 출입을 통제해야만 했던 알파 기지의 환경이 개선되었다. LZ들은 포장된 도로로 기지와 연결되어 있다.
