김의겸 청와대 대변인은 이날 정례 브리핑에서 트럼프 대통령 언급에 대한 논평을 요구받고 "기자들의 질문에 트럼프 대통령이 답하는 과정에서 나온 것으로, 한미 사이에 긴밀하게 협의하고 있다는 의미"라며 이같이 언급했다.
